Let us be realistic here. You are not going to fly here for marriage in the Philippines, stay a couple weeks, and fly back with your new darling. What you will fly back with is the knowledge that you have found the one you want, that she wants you, she wont see anyone else, and you will keep it alive with phone calls and emails until she gets her visa. Six months to twelve months is what you are looking at. But… fear not, you and her will have all our assistance. We will help her get her passport if she doesn''t already have one. We will also make the appointments with your embassy, help her with her documentation, required forms, etc until she has her visa. We will even accompany her to Manila if you wish. Remember, it is in our best interests to get her that visa and see her get on that airplane, in fact it is our job, so we will do whatever we possibly can to make it happen. Referrals are our life blood. 
Why not take advantage of the six to twelve month waiting period to make her transition from the Philippines to a western country as easy as possible? Most girls here know how to cook Filipino food: fish, rice, and maybe some vegetables. They have never seen our food and cannot imagine a meal without rice! While rice is nice you get bloody sick of it fast. My wife cooks excellent western food and she will be more than happy to teach your girl how to do it as well. Also there are many cooking classes here that we could enroll her in for very little cost. That is how my wife learned: from me, from her classes, and from cookbooks. Believe me when I say there is nothing better than coming home to a delicious meal made with love not rice! Whether you decide to have your marriage in the Philippines or in your home country we can help you throughout the process. We can also teach her cultural indoctrination which means we show her appliances she will not have seen before, we practice her English, basically let her get used to seeing and talking to westerners to learn a bit about what makes us tick. Why not enroll her in an English course if her English is not perfect, which it probably wont be? Remember English is usually their third language so don''t expect them to be as fluent as they think they are. Of course our wives will have many woman-to-woman chats with them about what…God only knows, but they seem to enjoy it. We will be a pillar of support for you and your sweetheart during the waiting period.
